A yearly company VTI Day , we decided to 'Give back to Society' by organising the first Charity Event. Our team contacted the Salvation Army and they proposed we could start by doing volunteer work at a Nursing Home, PeaceHaven. It's located around Upper Changi. Alot of preparation and coordination work involved. Oh well, it will be a half day event, follow by dinner. I'm expecting a long tired day but doing for a good cause. It's worthwhile. We did a pre-donation drive in office. Our GM is a very good sport. He helped us to raise an additional S$4K by shaving his head. There's more into it but I shall not elaborate. Tomorrow, he will show up with his new "topless" image. I have mix feeling. For a good cause but at someone's expense. *sigh*
Hope to post some pics of the event after. The day after, I'm on my way to Ho Chi Minh. Free and Easy. Holiday~ I need a break.
